Mutual funds
The complex, multiple structures associated with the Mutual Funds industry and vast sums of money transacted within it require a strong regulatory body to guarantee compliance and public protection. The Securities and Financial Markets Division provides the necessary human and technical resources to safeguard

’ reputation within the world’s financial industry. In 2008
Seychelles
Mutual and Hedge Funds Act was reviewed to reflect the sectors growing importance in
Seychelles
and the need for responsible, dynamic regulation.
Insurance
Seychelles
’ international insurance sector is expected to grow rapidly over the coming ten years and the division will appraise, process, license and supervise the insurance business in
Seychelles
. The recently amended Insurance Act will provide the necessary synergy for expansion and protection of policy holders and public as this industry grows.
Securities
Under the auspices of the Securities Act the Division is provided with the regulatory and monitoring mechanism necessary to oversee the activities of constituted identities both onshore and offshore and ensuring the fair and proper trading of shares.
