In December 2008 the Central Bank of
Seychelles
published the second and special edition of the currency booklet entitled “History of Paper Currency in the
Seychelles
” to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Bank which it celebrated on December 2nd,
The booklet originally published in April 2006 traces the history of paper currencies of the
Seychelles
and provides full colour illustrations and descriptions of old and new notes.
A separate section on the flora and fauna appearing on the notes makes for an interesting and educational read. The special edition also features a short history of the Central Bank of
Seychelles
.
